Inspiration

11.8.14c

11.8.14dToday’s outfit is the result of time spent on Pinterest. I love Pinterest!! I bought this “puffer” vest last year but struggled with how to wear it other than the “normal” way. When I saw the inspiration photo (there were several!) I had an “aha” moment and decided I had to try it out. I like the belted look – it dresses it up a bit and the hot pink belt pulls out the pink stripe in the shirt. I added the pearls for a little more feminine look, but I could have gone without and been ok.

You’ve probably noticed I used a different photo location today. With the time change on Sunday it’s a little trickier to get good light, especially if I have to wait until the end of the day. I’ll keep trying different locations to find the ideal spot, but I think this worked well for today. Blogger challenge #1 for me!

If you have a minute, would you swing on over and check out my music site? I’ve uploaded a couple of new videos!  http://www.reverbnation.com/loriyeary

What I wore:

Merona plaid shirt: Target
Jordache skinny jeans: Walmart
Navy Puffer Vest: Costco
Pink patent belt: Target
Pearl strands: Claire’s Accessories
Bandolino black riding boots: DSW

Frugally yours,

Lori

  1. I loved how you pulled it all together for a polished look with the simple vest that I always pass by in the stores without a second look. I like yours better than the inspiration photo!
